Logistically speaking, this sink comes with a two inch drain hole pre-made. It can be used in both residential and commercial settings. Although as with all of our products, we do recommend installation by a professional contractor, in order to ensure that everything goes smoothly and you don't experience any complications later on down the line.
Unfamiliar with vessel sinks? Not to worry. We'd be happy to help you. A vessel sink is a type of sink that sits on top of the counter in your bathroom, rather than being mounted on top of it or below it. Unlike other sinks that may make sense to be used in both kitchens and bathrooms, vessel sinks are really only meant to be used in bathrooms because their size and style simply wouldn't be practical in a kitchen environment.
There are two types of installations you can select when it comes to vessel bathroom sinks. You can choose an above counter installation, where the basin of your sink rests entirely upon the counter surface. In fact, the only changes to your countertop that would need to be made would be to drill an opening for the drain hole. After that, you're good to go! However, you can also opt for recessed installation. This allows for greater basin stability, because you drill a small hole into the countertop and rest a small part of the base of the sink inside of that hole. Although the team at CopperSmith does not offer installation ourselves, we do have a dedicated customer service team who would be more than happy to chat with your contractor to ensure that your installation goes as smoothly as possible, and that the life of your sink is given maximum longevity.
