Undermount SWD - Drainboard Kitchen Sink

Although drainboard sinks are not the most commonly purchased on the market today, we highly recommend them to our clients. More common in Europe and other areas of the world, these types of sink offer a modern look, and with their built-in, tilted draining areas, they do a fantastic job at keeping countertops dry and clean. This particular sink is a single basin sink, and has an attached drain board, that you can use as a workstation to prepare your food, a drying rack, for after you've handwashed your dishes (cast iron, anyone?), or even a cutting board when you want to give those vegetables a quick chop without dirtying additional dishes.

Unfamiliar with copper drainboard sinks? Not to worry. We are more than happy to explain. Drainboard sinks are sinks that have an attached apron, usually on one side, but sometimes on more than one side, with the apron overlapping as a portion of the counter. The apron, in this case, the drainboard, is grooved and angled downward, so that water can drain directly into the sink. This particular drainboard sink is somewhat unique, as it is an undermount sink, rather than a drop-in sink. This will allow you to maintain a cleaner kitchen environment and contribute to an easier installation experience overall. This is because without the large lip that is prominent in a drop-in sink, there is less space overall for debris and other gunk to become trapped in your kitchen sink area, which means that your kitchen will stay spotless and germ free for the duration of the time you
